The fashion scene in NYC has been eye opening to say the least. Being born and raised in Omaha, NE..then going to school in Iowa, spending a good amount of time in Chicago and Maryland. I don't think any other place in the states does it like NYC.
To be honest, I could really care less about fashion. Its more about style than anything.
Being the artistic director of Nerdy, I stay true to streetwear. But even then, its more of a lifestyle than anything. Thats why we consider our brand to be a lifestyle brand. If you know anything about the roots of streetwear, it was more of a sense of meaning and culture. Everyone needs meaning, thats what living is all about.
I guess I really don't know how to describe my style. I just wear what I like. One day I might have on some fitted chinos and a oxford, and the next day I might throw on my Jets hoodie and some Mikes...and I'm ok with that.
