Drizzle Day

First of all, if anyone wants to personally come and wake me up in the am, that would be great! My alarm clock has been pointless for the past week...

I love living two blocks away from central park. And with the mystic movie like rain this morning, couples were out linked by the hands. I often walk through the park on my way to school, it has a completely different feel from the hustle and bustle of the city. A nice relaxing vibe is needed at some point of the day, especially since I feel off track waking up late.

Welp, back to this grad school thing...

Gravitational Pull

Yesterday after class I was just roaming around the city. I was really just trying to process a lot of my life as of late. Consuming my whole being with who  I am, which is an artist and a people lover. My "slogan", Love & Create is more of a lifestyle than anything. All things MUST be done out of love, and the universe will align the rest.

With that being said, my afternoon 6 train downdown was pretty awesome. I had a cool conversation with Vince and his friends who are from Miami. Without them saying anything, I could tell that they are pretty awesome photographers and people. He also has captured sweet photo of me that I am waiting for in my email.

I guess I said all that say... Consume all of you, with whom you want to be. Love it, and dont worry about the rest...

Street Etiquette

Tonight I went out and supported the Street Etiquette event they had at the Apple Store in SoHo. It was pretty amazing to say the least. Being a believer in their work, and just recently moving to NYC, it was cool to actually see them in action. Along with the rest of the fashion and creative minds that were in the building.

The stars aligned and I actually ended up chatting with Keino Benjamin & Kadeem Johnson on the subway home. I don't know how the universe works at times, but i'm loving the ride...

I'm part of the problem

First of all, I know you may think my Blog is random, but its not. It all has a connection, but I’m going to connect the dots for you.

“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change” Kirt Nugent

I had a conversation with this beautiful woman today. She asked me not to state her name. She has an associate’s degree in Psychology and is in pursuit of a better quality of living. She finds herself homeless after getting out of an abusive relationship situation, and has a hand injury in which she hasn’t been able to receive medical help for.

With jobs hard to come by now days, even with her education, she finds herself on the side of the sidewalk searching for hope…

I hope my words can get her through the day, but its going to take a lot more than just words to help my people. And when I say my people, I mean all people.

Even I, am part of the problem… I just got a new iPhone.

Living in Hard Times

Moving to NYC has been the most humbling experience to say the least. On one corner you can see the richest man in the world, and then across the street you can see a man struggling to stay alive. And to be honest, I can guarantee you that most people here don't even notice it. Society has made it clear that, if your struggling, you have no one but self to blame. "Nothing is structural". hmm.

And then their are people like me, stuck in the middle...trying to find a balance within all of the craziness. I am by no means rich, but I also have a lot more than many people...

The paradigm that I have of the world is a very critical and demanding one. I think the solution is pretty plain and simple. But when you have people exposing those unseen and unknown truths, you have assassination such as JFK and 2 Pac, and mysteriously know one knows who killed them...
Or what about the guy who had the cure to aids, how did he die... better yet, how did know one know of him?

I just don't understand. Like 2 Pac said, there are tons of empty rooms in the white house. And I definitely agree with 'Kids These Days' (band) ... We are living in hard times.

But who am i... i'm just a people lover and a photographer.

Back to thinking of the master plan.

Quinn Library

So I was in the library getting some work done and I ran into Hiba, who is a senior at Fordham University. Woohoo! I convinced her to let me take a couple shots of her. Good luck with the rest of the school year and finish strong!

Awesome Day

Awesome day it was... from class, to the Nerdy video ;) and some art i captured and created today. Tonight I also talked to two amazing young ladies at a McDonalds that I'm always at, Sandy & Tokyo. Tokyo is aspiring to be in the fashion industry and Sandy will rep Brooklyn all day!! Peace & Power to the both of you. Other than that, just another day trying to kill the world with a smile...

Oh yeah, there was a random jam session that broke out as well. Super cool!
