Style Yourself

The fashion scene in NYC has been eye opening to say the least. Being born and raised in Omaha, NE..then going to school in Iowa, spending a good amount of time in Chicago and Maryland. I don't think any other place in the states does it like NYC.

To be honest, I could really care less about fashion. Its more about style than anything.

Being the artistic director of Nerdy, I stay true to streetwear. But even then, its more of a lifestyle than anything. Thats why we consider our brand to be a lifestyle brand. If you know anything about the roots of streetwear, it was more of a sense of meaning and culture. Everyone needs meaning, thats what living is all about.

I guess I really don't know how to describe my style. I just wear what I like. One day I might have on some fitted chinos and a oxford, and the next day I might throw on my Jets hoodie and some Mikes...and I'm ok with that.

Sometimes I think we get so caught up in the world, and begin to make moves in the manner that we did not attend to when we first began. So often we, as humans need to re-evaluate our purpose, what we are doing...and most of all, why!
